The artistic work of Christoph Hinterhuber (*1969), an artist living in Innsbruck (Tyrol - Austria), is not easy to class. Characteristic for his art is the obsessive use of the complementary colors pink and green as well as black and white. The formal benchmarks of his art stretch from Neoplasticism, Optical Art and New Geometry Painting to Actionism and Dadaism.

From Oswin Amann to Linda Wolfsgruber, all these artists have one aspect in common: they are all engaged in the first principles of painting and on the beginning there is the drawing. A lot of great masterpieces are based on drafts. First ideas, quick and just inspired by the muses, realized on paper and only in a second step elaborated to a wonderful masterwork on canvas or to a sculpture.

Beginning in England and the USA during the fifties and sixties, artists discover the modern style of living and make the daily and common life to a topic of art. Popular picture motifs, like flags, common objects or everyday occurrences as well as consumer products now get illustrated with an ironic and playful point of view

Roman Scheidl, born in 1949, lives in Vienna and is known as a master of drawing. Often the viewer has to observe the artists work intently, because of the eventful language of using the brush. His versatile and mysterious works seem to have their own rhythm.

The student's competition 2013/2014 refers to the great summer-exhibition “A VIEW FAR AWAY - Travel routes of artists from Tyrol and Trentino since 1800", and presents nearly 700 scholar artworks.
